Is NIPT a screening test or a diagnostic test?
NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnostic test. It estimates the likelihood of certain chromosomal conditions, such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), Trisomy 18, and Trisomy 13. If the results indicate a high risk, your doctor may recommend further diagnostic testing for confirmation.
From which week of pregnancy can NIPT be collected?
NIPT can usually be performed from 10 weeks of pregnancy onwards. The test requires a simple blood sample from the mother and can provide highly accurate screening for common chromosomal conditions while posing no risk to the baby.
When will I receive the NIPT report?
